Demo v1.04 + Feedback & Press Kit
Hello, everyone!
I would like to thank everyone who decided to check out my game, even in this rather early state.
As of November 2025, Restless Rites has been in the making for over a year and, still, the game has only recently reached a state in which its core gameplay loop is now playable. Now, one of the biggest challenges I’m currently facing is to balance the game in various aspects: from the speed at which things happen, to how many things can happen and how these things can impact your gameplay.
So, if you’d like to help make Restless Rites a better game, please share your thoughts on the Feedback Form, which can now be accessed through the Demo’s Main Menu (or here, if you’d like a shortcut).
Also: if you’re looking to create any kind of content regarding the game, you can now access the Official Press Kit. There, you’ll find game logos, backgrounds, screenshots, and even some cool 3D renders for the player character and some entities (some which aren’t implemented in the game right now, so… spoilers?)

Changelog:
Menu
- Added a new “feedback” button which redirects to google form
Bugs
- Fixed flower pots not letting you pick up flowers while holding a tool
- Mosquito Tunnels now have proper collision
- Removed unused generator street lights in unavailable map areas
Tutorial
- Reduced the Leaf Piles in the Chapel Grounds to 1 (was 2)
- Moved the Trash Piles in the Chapel Grounds to more obvious places
- Small adjustments in level lightning
Environment
- Added on-screen indicators for trash bags not properly disposed
- Fire spots now leave behind a burnt decal texture
- There is now a physical map of the Cemetery on its front wall
- Altered the text “Quadra” to “Section” regarding Cemetery Zones
- Dumpsters now have a simple shake animation when receiving trash
- Gas canisters in the fuel deposit now properly react to nearby flames
Balancing
- Generator fuel now decreases a little faster
- Fires made by gasoline puddles now dissipate over time
- Day 1 - Total tasks reduced to 10 (was 12)
- Day 2 - Total tasks increased to 15 (was 14)
Entities
- New Entity: “Night Guard”
- New Entity: “Body Bag”
